We cater for all abilities of rider from beginners to experts and from youth to the over 50s. We regularly hold small club meetings but also host regional and national events. So, if you want to join an off-road motorcycle club, small enough to make you feel welcome, but large enough, and with experience of staging events to the highest national level, all for £ 5.00 per annual membership, please feel free to contact us.

NEWS

Club Trial 16 November 2025

Many thanks to all riders and the officials who either prepared the course and or observed. The club was delighted to recognise our youngest riders at this trial. Vice Chairman David Price presented certificates to (from L to R) Theo Hunkin-Mathews, Zak Wheeler and Blake Hockin. Sadly Austen Daw was unable to collect his award due to his rugby commitments.

Dave gave the following speech on behalf of Chairman Darren Lulham
“Welcome to everyone and thank you for entering today’s trial. I am very sorry I can’t be here today as I would very much like to have made todays presentation.
As many of you know last year our club started to offer a six-section course for Youth E and OSET riders at our club trials. We have been delighted to welcome a growing cohort of young riders and impressed with the skill and determination they have shown. We wanted to recognise the four riders who have ridden three or more of our trials and whilst all the riders have put in great performances Theo Hunkin-Mathews deserves a special mention for his consistently low marks.
Before I hand over to my Vice Chairman Dave to make the presentation, I want to thank all the club members who have taken great care to set-out the youth sections, Luke & Stacie Wheeler for their kind sponsorship of the certificates and to say a massive thank you (on behalf of myself and Helen) to all the parents, family and grand-parents of the young riders, whose help in making the trials run smoothly and safely has been invaluable”.

Club director John Luckett also took the opportunity to present Kyle Jacobs with the Martyn Luckett Memorial Trophy.
This trophy is awarded for the season's best ‘Expert’ performance at T&DMCC trials

2026 ACU membership, T&DMCC club membership and riders licence renewal - updated information 25.11.25

You can apply for 2026 memberships etc from 10 November onwards. If you need help with the ACU website call Helen on 077 33 300 769 (evenings after 19:30hrs) who will be happy to help you.

The cost of 2026 annual ACU membership is Adult £35, Youth A & B £25, Youth C, D & E £15. The £50 fee recently advised by the ACU only applies to trials riders who ride at Trial GB level, in other words, if you ride Trials at the level of Normandale or club events your annual fee is £35. The new cost provides extended insurance cover, for adults only, as it is intended to cover loss of earnings. If an adult has an accident leading to hospitalization they can start to claim after 3 days in hospital (previously 2 weeks). The maximum payout will be £2,000.00 per hospital stay.

Trials Day Licences - adult day licences will be £10 in 2026 (the rate provides the above mentioned level of insurance cover for an injury sustained at the event for which the licence was purchased); youth day licences remain at £5

Torridge & District MCC annual club membership (1st Jan to 31st Dec) is still only £5

You must have 2026 club membership to get your 2026 trials rider’s licence.

Auto renewal - even if you have set up ACU membership auto renewal, to activate your 2026 riders’ licence, you will need to log in to your account and renew your club membership (unless you also set your club membership to auto renew)

Youth - youth riders may need to upload a recent photograph to activate their 2026 rider’s licence

Your 2025 licence expires on 31st January 2026. Auto renewal payments will be taken on this date.
